Director of Agricultural Industry Credit

Duties and Responsibilities

-To inspect, follow up and approve the customers’ agricultural processing loans, and to
consider the credit return from the borrowers in order to ensure they will be able to
return the credit extended to them;
-Determine the direction and loan policies in line with the corporate targets to promote
small, medium and large industries;
-Prepare strategies which are included in business budgets relevant to credit promotion
for the short term and long term;
-Collect, analyze, and evaluate the credit needs of industrial businesses;
-Develop and improve loan product services to support the needs of target groups;
-Prepare budget plans and allocations related to projects that provide loans to
agricultural business;
-Be able to travel to work in different areas in order to introduce loans to the target
groups, as well as collect, evaluate and select industrial business information which is
of interest to participants in the project;
-Analyze and evaluate the risks that will affect the loan provider and manage the risks;
-Follow up on loan usage by agricultural business owners and assess project results and
impacts;
-Support and provide marketing advice to the industrial businesses to improve the value
of their products and their ability to develop strongly in the market;
-Encourage and support agricultural processing;
-Follow up and monitor industrial businesses with regards to the effectiveness of their
projects;
-Support agricultural product branding and introduce new brands of agricultural
products to the local and international markets;
-Build business connections among agricultural businesses throughout the country and
abroad by participating in agricultural expositions and trade fairs;
-Support and provide technical assistance in the marking of businesses’ agricultural
products;
-Be highly organized and attentive to detail so as to be able to handle multiple tasks and
projects in a deadline driven environment.
-Have excellent coordination, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
-Prepare performance reports on project implementation at regular intervals, including
weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for submission to management.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree or a higher education qualification in agriculture or a related field; – At least 7 years work experience in agricultural processing management and related
fields;
-Knowledge and experience in agriculture, understanding agricultural systems,
identifying priority risks and the scale of loan services provided to different agricultural
businesses;
-Be able to estimate opportunities and challenges in agriculture in the future and develop
systems to overcome these issues; – Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with communities
and local authorities;
-Be able to plan and provide agricultural information to promote livestock farming and
aquatic species that are suitable for climate change and the demands of the market;
-Have an open mind as well as the know how needed to adapt the business management
to be relevant for particular situations.

Abilities and Skills

1) Be able to plan and direct the project’s implementation;
2) Have experience in planning agricultural processing factories such as rice mills and
other infrastructure;
3) Have excellent communication and collaboration skills with relevant agencies;
4) Be highly organized, attentive to detail and able to address challenges in a proactive
manner;
5) Be able to handle multiple tasks and the project in a deadline driven office
environment;
6) Be in good health (non-smoker and non-diabetic),
7) Be able to work in a team and able to handle the challenges of contrasting
personalities in a proactive manner through the use of interpersonal and leadership
skills
8) Be able to travel to other provinces and work overtime (upon request);
9) Possess an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs
that relate to project planning and management;
10) Have a high degree of fluency in English communication skills.
